Nah FR. IL2 1946 is a good old nugget, it´s the Il2 CloD that´s not quite there yet.... Pics from above is the Il2 1946. And that spit XVI is a brute!

exactly royal, IL2 is a 10 year old game, and it looks better than cliffs of dogshit......a 6 month old game.............go figure

Il-2 is still looking great after all these years, but the engine has been modified/modded several times now. In my opinion CloD looks better, and I can't even run it at high settings, but the lightning, shadows, damage effects is much better, as you would expect from a game 10 years younger. What makes difficult for me to get back to Il-2 is the FM/DM, cockpits, and feel of flight after having played ROF and CloD. Il-2 is still unsurpassed in the quantity of airplanes and scenarios it provides, and will stay so for quite a while I reckon. Even if I'm always nostalgic of older sims, the new ones always take the place quite fast with me, when I first started playing Il-2, EAW and Rowan's BOB rapidly disappeared form my PC, even if both were pretty good sims in their own
