I sent this to Vaal, lets hope he wants to help.
Hi Vaal,
I wonder if I could bother you to help us the Syndicate with something.
We have no real tech people in our squad and we would love to set up stats for our server. And word has it you are the expert on this.
Maybe you read my post, but we have some plans beside this. We would love to create next to the normal stats a kind of Death is dead leaderboard. Here we would like to use specific elements of the multiplay stats. Like kill assists, recons downed etc. We will give participants a score based on all kinds of diffrent achievements. For example a downed recon will give 20 points, a downed fighter will only give 10 points. It would be cool if all points could be resetted to zero when somebody dies.
So my question to you is.
can you help us setting up the stat page for Syndicate? We would be very grateful and maybe we can do something in return.
And it will be even more cool if we would manage to make something like the DID leaderboard.
Thanks in advance,
SYN_MrWolf

Also I received a message from Raf74 Winger Subject: Death is death multiplayer profile! Suggestion for dev. S!, Bliss did some testing for me on a log parser some time ago - you can see some of the results from that parser here: www.raf74.com/results.php?mission=st_mihiel_offensive_1918I'm pretty sure this could be set up to do what you want. W. I aksed him if he can and wants to help us. But does he mean our Bliss? That would be awkward. Not sure if he would want to help us.

here is the info on setting up the parser, looks so so eaaaaaasy!!! 1) edit startup.cfg (ROF/data/startup.cfg) [KEY = system] chatlog = 1 mission_text_log = 1 debug_info = 0 gamelog = 1 keep_binary_log = 0 modes = 0 show_net_skins = 1 skin_dir = "graphics\Skins\" [END] 2) create a database in mysql (example name rof) 3) in the archive file is db.sql - a database structure This file can be open with notepad, copy its contents and query simhq.lipetsk.ru/rof/tmp/mysql1.jpgor to import the file simhq.lipetsk.ru/rof/tmp/mysql2.jpg4) edit parser.ini game = "D:\Games\ROF\" - path to the folder with the game. savelogs = "D:\Games\ROF\parser\logs\" - where to save the processed logs. and info for database access [dbase] host = "localhost" user = "root" pass = "" dbname = "rof" 5) edit stat/conf.php info for database access, name server and etc 6) run run-parser.bat

Vaal responded,
I'm doing a new version of statistics for the server. There is a rating on a virtual life(after death/capture begins a new virtual life), a different number of points in different planes, and so on. But the work of many, I can not say when this version will be available.
About the official DID leaderboard, it's better to write to Jason.

Shouldn't be too hard, just follow instructions! It's one of the most used database software in the world so there is plenty of documentation...

SYN_RepentI just got this message from Winger, Rep would it be interesting to get him to help you?? Yep, SYN_Bliss gave me loads of data to help de-bug the application. I can help you set it up if you want, but I'll need a bit of help from whoever runs your RoF server and webserver. As long as you have mySQL set up on the webserver it should be pretty simple. I suspect that your webmaster will want to write and control the scripts that query mySQL, but I can give him some sample php code if he needs it. W.
