******RULES SUBJECT TO CHANGE******
WINNING CONDITIONS
The campaign will be fought over a number of weeks/sessions, each session lasting 3 hours. Victory will be decided by the faction with the most points after six weeks (sessions) using the ingame scoring system.
At the end of each session, each factions point total will be recorded and added onto any previous sessions total.
BATTLE MAP/OBEJCTIVES/AIRFIELDS
The battle map will contain airfields dependant on the number of squadrons involved in the campaign, each squadron will have there own airfield with which to conduct operations from.
There will be an equal number of objectives per faction, as one is destroyed/completed it will be replaced at the beginning of the next session.
The map will be made and maintaned/updated by the syndicate squadron, once per week ready for the next session.
LIFE/DEATH
Lives are unlimted in regards to the campaign and flying every session, IF YOU ARE KILLED OR CAPTURED DURING A SINGLE SESSION THEN YOU CANNOT TAKE ANY FURTHER PART IN THAT SESSION, you may resume again on the next session.
AIRCRAFT
All squadrons will begin day one with the frontline aircraft of their choice, these aircraft are unlimited.
In order to acquire a prize aircraft, a certain condition must be met:- FOR EVERY ONE PILOT IN THE SQUADRON 1 KILL MUST BE ACHIEVED BY THE SQUADRON AS A WHOLE e.g SYN has five pilots therefore between them they must achieve 5 kills in order to recieve a prize aircraft. (the first time a squadron meets this condition they recieve one prize plane per pilot). ***IMPORTANT*** ONLY LANDED KILLS COUNT (you must land your aircraft, not be killed or captured)
*ADDITION* 3 GROUND KILLS = 1 AIR KILL FOR PURPOSES OF UNLOCKING PRIZE PLANES

Once a particular aircraft is selected, it cannot be changed throughout the campaign!!!
For this campaign, bombers/2 seaters will be unlimited to promote the use of and to complete objectives.
When a prize aircraft is destroyed, it is removed from the squadron pool. There are numerous ways a squadron can recieve more prize aircraft:-
FOR EVERY TEN SORTIES PER PILOT OVER 20 MINUTES IN LENGTH (TAKE OFF AND LANDINGS) THE SQUADRON WILL RECIEVE ONE PRIZE AIRCRAFT.
FOR EACH OBJECTIVE COMPLETED BY FACTION (ENTENTE/CENTRAL), THAT FACTION WILL RECIEVE 1 PRIZE AIRCRAFT PER SQUADRON.
FOR EVERY FIVE CONSECUTIVE KILLS PER PILOT (ACE STATUS) A PRIZE AIRCRAFT WILL BE GIVEN TO THAT SQUADRON.
Any prize aircraft earned during a particular session, will be available at the beginning of the next session.

there are planning rooms available on the syndicate forums, i will PM the password to each squads representative.
SOME IMPORTANT INFO: Representatives from each squad will be named as C.O, these guys will be involved in planning the forthcoming mission, assigning roles for each squadron in attack/defence.
The session will run for 3 hours, 15 minutes before the 3 hour mark, a warning will be shown, asking all pilots to begin to make their way home, any aircraft in the air at the end of the mission will be considered destroyed, this is an important rule for one reason, to stop targets being attacked with 2 minutes left of the 3 hours so they run away safely knowing the mission will end.
We will be using the SYNDICATE TS3 server for this.
Pilots can join and leave during the 3 hours, but please remember, DEAD IS DEAD.
Planning room passwords should have been sent to all squads now, and the server password will be given shortly.

Hi all. So the first mission is completed. Congratulations to all on this event! I had a few questions 1) If I go back to my airfield, and successfully landed - is my plane back to the overal plane quantity on my field? 2) When I gain airkill but died later in that sortie - my victory will be counted as productive? 3) why objects that I need to protect are not marked on the map - it quite uncomfortable. 4) is it possible in the future to increase the prize factors? for example to start with smaller Number of rounds of ammunition, a less powerful bomb load, Fixed Number of fuel, and if the tasks of the mission will be successfully completed, scored aerial victories and successful bombers raids - get more ammunition, more powerful bombs, the ability to choose quantity of the fuel. It seems to me that such things make gameplay much more interesting.
I want to say thank you very much to SYN guys for organizing this project. I hope that it will become more and more deeply and interesting. A great start!

hi Jax_on, im glad you participated, and even happier you enjoyed it, let me try to clear your questions up for you. 1) in the future all NON PRIZE aircraft will be set to unlimited, so you wont have to worry about that, but yes, if you land back at your AF the aircraft goes back into the pool for re-use that session 2)two answers here: NO, If you gain an airkill, you must have landed your aircraft that sortie in order to have been productive, this is for unlocking of prize aircraft only, 6 pilots = 12 landed kills. and second answer: YES, you will get the kill on your stats, and also the in game score, which will count towards the ultimate campaign victory will add all points for kills. 3) we wanted to see how this worked having targets visible, we are uncertain as to whether we should reveal them for both sides on the map for next week, we have a week to decide now, i understand your uncomfort though. 4)Excellent ideas, these things should be possible to implement, hopefully after this first campaign, we can alter certain things, add in more complex game options and calculations. 1. Please do keep one It gives even more incentive to bring the bird home. We lost a few birds to one of our pilots getting dropped a few times but could still make it all the mission. Just had to be careful to bring the ones we had home. 3. Yes was hard, maybe not exactly where the target is bit more a zone marked on the map, a general area.

Thanks very much for answers. But after several days of discussion =UA= have some new questions and suggestions. 1) disconnect As far as I remember - if the internet connection is broken over enemy territory - its count as KIA, and if over friendly territory its count as crushed but alive. If during the KOTS mission I will get disconnect over enemy territory - what to do next? Will it have been counted as death and the player has no right to make a new flight? or, for example, player can make new sortie, but the streak is reset to zero? 2) All UA squad and personally I believe that the limitation in quantity of nonprize aircrafts (as in the 1st mission) and the need to return them to the airfield - this is very interesting and important gameplay moment that makes feel a lack of equipment and forcing to cares not only about own virtual life but also about aircrafts. 3)Since the calculation of downed aircraft and victories conducted by statistics created by Vaal, and not in-game statistics - I have a proposal to disable server option "kill notifications", it can help to avoid incidents when comparing the results of the mission in in-game statistics and in Vaals statistics. And visually identify the victory is more realistic than learn about it from an chat message.

To all participants. Tonight I will update the KoTS campaign map. The following changes will be made: -New targets/objectives will be chosen (weekly change) -Weather, wind will change (weekly change) -We will add patrol zones (Icons) so each side knows what area to defend, so you will not have to patrol the whole map -The number of available normal planes will be unlimited to compensate for disconnects while in the game.
So tonight or no later than tomorrow each side will get new orders from HQ.
