anyone messed about with landscape shading??
i turned this to its lowest setting, there is slight visual difference (looks a bit flat at the lowest of alt's) , that coupled with forest and buildings low, has allowed me to turn shadows and grass on, and get 60fps 95% of the time, with the game paused, i can change land shading to from low(60fps) to high and the fps drops immediatly to 42, try it and let me know if its an improvement.

Question Rep. when you say "buildings low" is that quantity or quality , or both? And forest on low or off? You running the beta patch?

Both mugue, down low it looks ok, up high it makes no difference, and yes, I'm using the beta, with 1x AA, everything else is high except effects med, shadows is on which for me is important, and it is getting me 60 fps in single player and online in repka isle of doom

Thx Rep. Effects med, do you notice a visible difference, eye candy quality-wise? I'll try it, might be the thing to help my substandard performance I get with this program. Another issue I get is terrible tearing no matter if I have V-sync on in game or in Nvidia Control Panel. Is this just another feature like AA that isn't working as of yet?

Vsync works for me mugue, I'm using ati compared to your nvidia though, maybe that's the difference, eye candy wise it don't alter much mate, and the new sounds are great, I was flying a hurri, got dived on by a 109, sounded and looked good.
