May I please ask for some clarification. On my last sortie, while flying central I was forced to land (with slight damage) on the edge of the allied trench line. When I pulled up the stats page I was not jailed or dead. I did re-spawn an aircraft but after some thought and discussion with Rumey it was decided to error on the side of caution and not continue to fly. My question is this, Are we captured only when we are showed as "jailed" or are we playing gentlemen's rules and staying out if we are brought down on the enemy's side no matter what the sats board says ??

It's an honour system as we can't verify. I'd say if you are not captured you can continue to fly. If you are captured then quit. However, due to the slowness of the Master server it sometimes takes a couple of minutes before you can actually see your status (crashed/landed/captured) so you need to wait for that!

its a difficult rule to enforce, i am looking for honesty.
if you are brought down behind enemy lines, dont refly for maybe ten minutes, see what the master server shows as to whether you are "jailed" or not, if your jailed, do not refly, if you are not jailed, then refly...............but......
if after the mission is over, the stats are showing that you was indeed captured, and you did refly, then all sorties after that capture will be void.
in short, a little common sense, a little honesty, and we should all be ok.

Thank you gentlemen....I was figuring that we should consider the pilot "lost" for the day if he is behind the line, thus I decide not to sortie that last time. I guess it comes down to a "time" issue as relates to the server(s) catching up. I might suggest perhaps after like fifteen minutes if a pilot is still active (not jailed) then he might have another go, as he made his way back across ??
I will go out on a limb and say that if this is acceptable in J5 our commander will communicate this type of situation via "chat" to the the group command and get a consensus from them before we go. I.E. "Schaefer was lost over the line 15 minutes ago, still active request permission to re-spawn". In this there is a verification/place mark that can be verified by the parser at a later time. Again great event and you guys are on point with it, really enjoyable.
