firstly guys i wanted to apologise about last nite, my interent went down again and to be honest i was so annoyed i just came off and left it. When i plug the cable from my farthers wireless box into my computer it reads the speed as a continuous 100 mbps. what im discovering in the game only online is planes flying, disappearing completely then reapearing then disappearing then reappearing. This must be a connection problem?. I remember younger being able to play online games on it before so im not sure why its doing it with rise of flight.... Is there anything i havent tried? im not the biggest computer wizz in the world so if its something complicated could it be explained in english.. p.s how did we do?

we didnt do great, but we tried against the odds. give us some more details about your connection royal, and about your system. are you using a wireless connection or is it direct, with a network cable? what OS are you using?? is anyone else using any sort of internet whilst you are? do a test on this site and tell me the results www.speedtest.netopen task manager (ctrl+alt+delete) and tell me how many processes you have running check these processes are not using any internet bandwidth, IE download managers, torrents etc etc.

That 100mbs is only the connection speed between your computer and the router it is plugged into so that is the speed you will connect to any other computer on that Local Area Network (LAN) ie your Father's desktop.
As rep said the important bit is the speed of your internet connection and the ping to the server, the ping is how long it takes for your computer to send a signal to the server in addition to this how clean that connection is. The signal is sent in what is called a packet, if the full packet is not received then it is dropped. So this warping can be the result of two things, slow ping or dropped packets.
For example 500 millesconds ping means it takes your computer half a second to send a packet and the same again to receive the result ie position of another aircraft, which will always be a second behind real time in this scenario. The delay will build up and build up until the game says fuck this we lost it and tries to start the process a fresh at which point you aircraft disappears and reappears where the fresh start thinks you should be and this is known as Lagging.
This is why when the server fills right up everyone's pings rise as the server tries too cope with 50 connections or so (think of it as a pipe which has a limit in size) those who start with a high ping obviously start lagging first.
So to test we need to do a trace route, click start in windows bottom left and you will see a box at the bottom for searching, type in CMD then press enter this will open a DOS box. In the DOS box type
tracert 95.211.37.204
and press enter, you should get something like this which is mine
Tracing route to 95.211.37.204 over a maximum of 30 hops
1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms Ratnest.Ratnest [192.168.0.1] 2 31 ms 33 ms 32 ms losubs.subs.dsl13.wh-man.zen.net.uk [62.3.83.20]
3 33 ms 60 ms 48 ms ge-2-1-0-200.cr1.wh-man.zen.net.uk [62.3.80.201]
4 49 ms 39 ms 40 ms ge-3-0-0-0.cr2.th-lon.zen.net.uk [62.3.80.45] 5 48 ms 47 ms 48 ms ten4-0.lon.leaseweb.net [195.66.225.56] 6 48 ms 46 ms 48 ms po100.sr1.evo.leaseweb.net [85.17.100.226] 7 47 ms 46 ms 48 ms 95.211.37.204
Trace complete.
Now type in
ping 95.211.37.204
...and press enter
you will get something like this
Pinging 95.211.37.204 with 32 bytes of data: Reply from 95.211.37.204: bytes=32 time=46ms TTL=122 Reply from 95.211.37.204: bytes=32 time=46ms TTL=122 Reply from 95.211.37.204: bytes=32 time=46ms TTL=122 Reply from 95.211.37.204: bytes=32 time=46ms TTL=122
Ping statistics for 95.211.37.204: Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss), Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds: Minimum = 46ms, Maximum = 46ms, Average = 46ms
Which is a pretty good connection to the server in anyone's books, now you can have a 20 MB up and down net connection but if that ms number is too high you will lag and drop, playing on an Australian server will probably get me a 500ms ping and it wouldn't be much fun to play, only because the physical distance the signal has to travel pushes the time up.
Interesting points for you are how many hops it takes and if there are any dropped packets which should be reported and the ping ideally needs to be lower the better, so let us know that and also using the speed test link Rep gave.

ok, you need to trim down the processes a little, shut down anything you dont need, especiually bit torrent, it could well have been uploading.

With that connection online will be as good as it can get, so its not the internet.
Try Gamebooster, it will allow you to shut down lots of processes and should make the game run a lot better.
This is letting you down badly
nividia gt 540m graphics card
But as its a laptop you can't odds it, personally I would never game from a lap top, but I know many do and it works for them.

i know my graphics card is letting me down badly but unfortunatly i just dont have the money to buy a complete tower with what i want...there is only dreams .....the problem is i dont have this problem when im playing in england??? unless its a new thing that has just started happening here??. but it seems like a connection then to me as planes are disappearing then reappearing a second or so later in the place they should be...its almost like a glitch but i have no problems offline and the game runs fine??
