From Vanderstok: This Sunday, 22 August, the Syndicate server will host the Arras, 1916 mission the whole evening (GMT timezone) (day?). If you like immersive missions that go on for a while, then this is your chance! So what to expect? Actually, the idea is simple. German recon aircraft have to photograph various important locations just south of Arras. The Central forces will have to protect them, the Allies will have to stop the two-seaters. So far, nothing new. The difference is that we want to encourage people to fly together and really care about the objectives. Therefore each side has two squadrons that will be given fresh orders via subtitles every 30 minutes or so. They will be ordered to standby, start engines, take off and fly to their patrol zone. If players take the time to wait for new orders and take off together we'll possibly see some spectacular action of flights of 4 or more aircraft trying to out manoeuver- or clash into each other at altitude There will be virtual "rounds". If four recon planes make it back alive within 1,5 hours the Central forces will have won, if not the Allies and the counter will be reset - but the mission just keeps on going! To make sure only people that are interested in this sort of thing will join, we will make the server password protected. The password is: arras We encourage all players to make use of the Ventrilo server so it's easy to work together, who will fly as leader? Which flight? etc. You can ofcourse use your own teamspeak/ventrilo if you are already flying in a team.
