Hi SYN pilots, as promised, here is the next event: On 10th July, the Wehrmacht advanced on Smolensk in a pincer move and enclosed Soviet armies in the city. This mission is situated in this campaign. A squadron of He-111 H-2 (nine planes) have to attack the railyard at Smolensk, which is an important factor in Soviet supplies to the frontline. Two Schwaerme of BF109 F-2 will provide escort. The VVS has two elite guard aviation squadrons at hand to defend the city, and they are equipped with the best planes the VVS can field at that time, the Yak-1 and the MiG-3. There are six Yak-1 avaible in two sections of three planes (one section has already been reserved by German pilots) and six MiG-3, also in two sections of three planes. I'd like to invite you to strengthen the VVS and pilot either the Yak-1 or the MiG-3. It would be desirable if you could man at least a whole section of three planes, as this would make it possible to have solely German-speaking sections and solely English-speaking sections (a few of the German pilots are a little bit reluctant to communicate in English ;D ). The event will be held on Oct. 10 at 18:00 UTC. I'll provide an information document in English a week before the event. If you want to improve your German , here is the link with the plane and name list: www.76-iap.de/wbb/index.php?page=Thread&postID=39378#post39378Hope to see you there. Best regards Ike

Sorry mates, red fighters where quickly reserved this time.
Well, actually there are two left, but I'm not sure whether you would like to fly these two fighters among all the German-speaking pilots?
My fair guess is that nobody would take you by the hand and co-ordinate flying with you then, and I can't do it this time as I'll be leading the Luftwaffe bombers.
You can participate anyway, of course, but I'd like to provide to you a very good simming experience, and it would be sad if you weren't involved in the whole mission.
Just let me know whether you want the last two available Yak-1. If you don't, don't worry: The next event planned by me is already in the making. I'm not sure whether it will be a Strategic Bombing Mission 3 (SBM3) or another East front mission.
