DId anyone else know that WoP do a Korea night with jets and such on tuesdays? Neither did i. www.warbirdsofprey.org/index.php?topic=8673.new#newIm gonna have a look on tuesday and see if this is still running. You need 2.09m + UP2.01 (run the WoP mod through JGSME) I fancy some Mig action!

Yea, I've flown some of those missions...I love that era of jets, (F86=the best looking plane of all time) though fighting VFR at those speeds is a MAJOR culture shock after ROF. But if I'm around I will surely join.

Myself and Mugue joined for a while last nite, it was fun!
Some mission have AI (the only things I managed to shoot down) which 'cheat' one rammed me and another tried vulching mugue!
The speeds compared to RoF or WW2 are just amazing, especially climb speed. I had one fight in my Mig 15 with an F86 that went from the deck upto 7000m+ in a matter of minutes!
Same thing next tuesday hopefully, join us!

Wow indeed Jed...and the rest of you.
Its certainly a different combat experience from RoF and IL2. So fast, so hard to shoot! Your airbrakes are used a lot.
Still its easy to find the F86 as it trails black smoke when the engine is above 45%... dead easy to spot and follow!
No idea how the FMs are compared to real life. The F86 is slower than the Mig up high, especially in climb which I understand was typical.

I got a PM from Mackstones over at WOP. Nothing secret, just letting me know about single player KTO campaigns available.
Mackstones
In case you didn't know, I made two single-player KTO campaigns (available on Mission4Today.com) called "Honcho" (100-mission KTO Sabre campaign) and "CPV" (50-mission KTO MiG-15 campaign). Both are attempts to represent full tours for USAF and Chinese People's Volunteer Air Force pilots in the Korean War, which means you don't see action every mission. However, you still get lots of action (probably more than a typical 20-30 mission campaign), just not on every mission. It's great practice for flying the jets.

Just had a nose over at WoP. theynahve the Korean missions up and running now on the Zekes server.
I will be home from work soonish and I will be popping over methinks. Remember you need 4.09m running the WOP mod in JGSME (there version of UP2.01)
Im gonna go woooooooooosh!
The crash.
