This mission, or perhaps should I say scenario, is based on the historical Meuse-Argonne offensive. For the American fighters, the primary objective was to disable any German balloons that might direct enemy artillery fire on their troops. The German fighters were greatly outnumbered, but because of their experience and the latest Fokker DVII they managed to inflict serious damage on the Allies. The mission will run continuously and each side has two airfields at their disposal. The Nieuport 28 in this mission is not historically correct as they had already been replaced by SPAD XIIIs at this time, but I kept them for variety and to compensate for the underpowerd Fokker D7 (DIIIa engine instead of the DIIIaĆ¼).
